11.29 You may not use forum signatures that are visually disruptive or disrupt the layout or design of the page.
11.40 You may not exploit any of the rewards systems used on Midwest Nudists in a manner which is detrimental to the community, such as but not limited to submitting fake ratings, spamming virtual gifts or points, adding members as a friend with no reasonable intention, or posting content for the sole purpose of earning points.

Reasoning For This Rule

We want to keep the Midwest Nudists website clean of any unwanted or distracting content.

Spam has been a major problem on many websites, including other nudist websites. Therefore, we have some automatic safeguards in place to help us reduce the amount of spam on Midwest Nudists:

  • Checks against the Stop Forum Spam IP blacklist
  • Project Honey Pot hidden injected scripts that only a spam bot would follow and humans would never normally see
  • Spam blackholes, which are hidden fields on forms that humans do not see and would not fill out, but spam bots would
  • Antispam heuristics, which are a list of criteria that determine the likelihood a submitted content is spam

When the website software determines someone to potentially be a spammer, one of three actions will be taken:

  • The content will be flagged for moderator approval, if the spam system is not too confident it is spam but thinks it might be,
  • Submission of the content will be outright blocked if the spam system is confident it is spam, or
  • An automatic IP ban of the member if the spam system is so confident that no reasonable human would have ever tried submitting that.
